We look to our members to help the Society recognize and celebrate scientific achievements of their peers. Now is the time to nominate your SIVB colleagues for a 2020 Award.

There are a variety of available awards for members at all stages of their career which we have listed below for quick reference. Please take a moment to review the criteria for each award and the SIVB nomination processes, then download the fillable nominations form and prepare your nomination package. Nominations must be received by February 1, 2020 to be considered for a 2020 Award.

Lifetime Achievement Award

The Society for In Vitro Biology established the Lifetime Achievement Award in 1989 to recognize outstanding late-career scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of in vitro biology and/or in the development of novel technologies that have advanced in vitro biology.

Distinguished Scientist Award

The Society for In Vitro Biology established the Distinguished Scientist Award in 2014 to recognize outstanding mid-career scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of in vitro biology and/or in the development of novel technologies that have advanced in vitro biology.

Young Scientist Award

The Society for In Vitro Biology established the Young Scientist Award in 2014 to recognize outstanding early-career scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of in vitro biology and/or in the development of novel technologies that have advanced in vitro biology.

Fellow Award

The Society for In Vitro Biology established the Fellow Award in 2004 to recognize outstanding professionals who have made significant contributions to the field of in vitro biology and demonstrated service to the Society.

SIVB also offers a variety of Student Awards based on scientific merit through abstract submissions presented at the annual meeting. Criteria for the available awards can be found here and Student Award Applications are due by January 31, 2020.

SIVB Award Nomination Packages are due February 1, 2020, so if there is someone you are planning to nominate, don’t delay!  Begin the process of preparing your application today and email the SIVB Business Office to let us know that we should be expecting a nomination package from you.
