Postdoctoral opportunity in regulation of in vitro plant morphogenesis and integrated plant propagation
A postdoctoral opportunity is currently available for a talented individual to join the research program focused on the study of regulatory signals that control plant morphogenesis and the application of in vitro technologies for production of agricultural and horticultural crops (www.gripp.ca). Preferred areas of experience include micropropagation in bioreactors, somatic embryogenesis, and physiological and molecular analysis of plants grown in in controlled environments. This position is for one year (renewable) with salary and benefits according to the University of Guelph policies.

Michael J. Fay, Ph.D., has been promoted to Associate Dean in the College of Graduate Studies at Midwestern University (Downers Grove, IL). In this new role, Dr. Fay will be working with the Basic Science Departments (Anatomy, Biochemistry, Microbiology/Immunology, Pathology, Pharmacology, and Physiology Departments) that teach the Medical, Dental, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Optometry and Biomedical Sciences students, to ensure the continued success of the teaching and research programs at the University. Dr. Fay will also be working with the Biomedical Sciences Program to ensure the continued success of the research-based Master of Biomedical Sciences Program and the lecture-based Master of Arts in Biomedical Sciences Program.
Dr. Mahipal Singh, Ph.D., C.R.A., has been promoted to Professor of Animal Biotechnology at Fort Valley State University (Fort Valley, GA). Dr. Singh was also the 2018-2019 recipient of the Fort Valley State University Provost Fellow Award.
