Good Teaching Is…? led by Vivian Dayeh, Continuing Lecturer and Associate Chair Undergraduate Studies at the University of Waterloo Biology Department, is a highly interactive workshop that will provide insight into education focused at the undergraduate level. Participants will engage in a variety of theme sessions including: lesson planning basics, feedback and assessment strategies, learning styles, group learning, and teaching perspectives.
Of interest to both new and seasoned undergraduate educators this workshop will encourage reflection and examination of one’s own teaching practices that can be transferred back into the classroom. Participants will engage in an intensive experiential learning approach and be provided with information on the theory and practice of teaching at the undergraduate level.
