The highest honor given by the Society for In Vitro Biology is the Lifetime Achievement Award. It is presented to scientists who are considered pioneers or highly influential researchers to the science and art of cell culture. They are men and women who have devoted their careers to exemplary research and/or teaching. 2019 Meeting Keynote Speaker

The Society for In Vitro Biology is pleased to announce that Dr. June Medford will be the Keynote Speaker at the 2019 In Vitro Biology Meeting (June 8 – 22) at the Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina in Tampa, FL.   The Opening Ceremony and Keynote Symposium will be held on Sunday, June 9th at 3:15 – 5:30 pm.  The title of Dr. Medford’s Keynote Address is “Synthetic Biology for Engineering Plant Genetic Circuits: from Predictable Electronic-like Functions to Innovative Desalination.” Dr. June Medford completed her Ph.D. at Yale University and is currently a Professor of Biology at Colorado State...

The President’s Letter in the In Vitro Report is an invaluable opportunity to communicate with the society membership. I would like to use this letter to talk about the issue of scientific integrity and the damage that can be done by simple sloppiness on one hand (the one-and-done approach to science) and tremendous evil of self-aggrandizing, fabricated data on the other.
