President’s Report

I am now writing my last President’s segment for In Vitro Report. It is hard to believe that two years have flown by so quickly. It is appropriate at this point to reflect back over the past two years for what the SIVB has accomplished and experienced. The 2012 SIVB annual meeting was one of mixed emotions. The Seattle/Bellevue/Tacoma area has been very memorable to me in visiting this area countless times when I was younger and various times later in life. My favorite mountain is Mount Rainier (I climbed it back in 1979) and I was able to...

Special SIVB Workshop at World Forum

What You Need to Know About Data Management Today, the world’s hottest commodities are technology and information, and as scientists and researchers, we not only use technology to consume information, but we are also major users and producers of this information. Recognizing Our Sponsors

As with most academic societies, the SIVB annual meeting draws heavily on the generous support of donors who provide financial support for the overall program. The donations enhance the scientific program, fund special symposia and keynote speakers, support many of the student programs (i.e. free student registration), and fund student travel and special awards. The Society receives generous donations from Corporations, non-for-profits, and individuals.  In many cases, they have provided support over many years. The In Vitro Report will publish a recurring feature article that recognizes the generous support of our sponsors.    In this issue, we would like...
