Abstract Submission
Welcome to the Society for In Vitro Biology's (SIVB) Online Abstract Submission site! We are glad that you have decided to participate in the 2012 World Congress on In Vitro Biology to be held June 3 - 7, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle’s Eastside in Bellevue, Washington.
The deadline for standard abstract submission (to be published in the Abstract issue of In Vitro Cellular and Developmental Biology and presented at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue in Bellevue, Washington from June 3 - 7, 2012) is February 20, 2012.
This on-line abstract submission service is for credit card payments and invited speakers ONLY; however, if you would like to submit a hard copy via airmail with a check payment, please click here.
Submission Instructions
The SIVB's on-line abstract submission system has been designed to ensure simplicity and clarity in the submission of your abstract. The presenter of the abstract should submit the abstract and comply with the following 9 steps in order to facilitate a complete and thorough submission:
- If you are a member of SIVB, please log in. Please verify that your contact information in our database is accurate.
- Click on the 2012 World Congress on In Vitro Biology. Under "Search Results" click on "2012 World Congress on In Vitro Biology Abstract Submission"
- Click on "Register for this Event"
- If you are not already registered in our system, please complete the full name, affiliation, address, and additional contact information for presenting author (please fill in all relevant fields)
- Select section (animal, education, or plant), first and second categories for presentation, 1st and 2nd choice for category of presentation, and key words.
Please note: The Program Committee will do what it can to provide you with your first choice of category. If this is not possible, they will place you in your second choice category. Please only choose a first or second option that you are willing and able to present.
Also note: The section, "Education," is for abstracts from educators about the education process or High School students only. All other abstract submissions should choose a category that reflects the focus of their research.
- Note if you need Rapid Abstract Acceptance. This will only inform you if your abstract can be accepted, but it does not specify what type of presentation you will receive. The type (oral/poster) and date of your presentation will not be determined until final placement.
- Pay for the abstract submission. Upon payment for your abstract, you will be receive 2 emails
- One email with a receipt
- One email with instructions on how to format and submit your abstract. Your abstract tracking number will be the confirmation number from your purchase.
- Proofread the abstract and save as a doc or rtf file. Docx files will not be accepted.
- Once your abstract is formatted using the instructions, send it in to sivb@sivb.org
- Students must fax proof of student status (copy of student ID, official schedule, letter of verification from professor) within 24 hours in order to receive the discounted abstract submission rate. Our fax number is (919) 562-0608.

The abstract fee is non-refundable.
If you do not receive the two emails, your abstract payment may not have been completed successfully. All authors will be notified via e-mail between April 1, 2012 and May 1, 2012 of their acceptance or regret, and final presentation number.
